This site is a tribute to Heather. She was much loved and will always be remembered. Please use this page to share any special memories or upload your favourite photos. We'd love to see and hear them.
She led a very active and adventurous life, moving to Hong Kong from Wells, Somerset in her early twenties to work as a physiotherapist. On returning to the UK, she settled in Romsey, Hampshire with her husband Michael and two daughters Marie-Anne and Tanya, where she stayed until she moved to Wheathamstead 7 years ago. She was the proud grandmother of Nina, Carl and Gemma.
Heather was someone with a quiet and caring nature who, whilst she didn’t like to draw attention to herself, dedicated her working life to looking after others. She was someone who rarely complained, dealing with the illness that ended her life with great courage and fortitude.
Heather regularly attended the Living Well sessions at the Rennie Grove Hospice in St Albans where she especially enjoyed the interesting talks, art therapy, music sessions and making new friends. She spent her last few weeks at the Peace Hospice in Watford, where she was very well looked after by all the wonderful staff.
If you would like to make a donation to Rennie Grove Peace Hospice, so that they can continue to do their amazing work, then it would be gratefully received.
